Hi Divebuddies,

There are still some stores to load and equipment to stow but aside from that it looks like the Under Pressure Dive Blog is ship shape and read to sail! Everyone who has been following should be getting updates now after the interruption.

Being the last minute shopper that I am it may be after the holiday before I catch up with everyone.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

The surface interval’s over… get out there and dive!

Under Pressure Dive Blog – Under Construction

Because submarines under construction are cool… maybe even cooler than the Under Pressure Dive Blog under construction… just maybe!

Hi Divebuddies!

So, as I continue to look for new features and content to improve the blog I have quickly found out why many blogs move to a self hosted model. Rather than wait and risk problems with more content and impact on more readers I will be moving the Under Pressure Dive Blog from the WordPress.com site to a self hosted one over the holidays.

In theory this should provide only a brief interrupt in service as the DNS servers change but I’ve been working with computers far too long to believe it will go that smoothly!

If you have any trouble getting here during the next two weeks please keep up with my progress on Twitter, FB or G+!

In the meantime have a great holiday!

The surface interval’s over… get out there and dive!

Why Dive a Computer? – Dive Logging

I’m a gear-o-phile. Okay now that we got that out of the way…

Dive computers are a great addition to your dive system. When a diver on a limited budget asks me what they should purchase first, a dive computer is always high on the list (usually right below regulators – but every situation warrants some thought). I don’t sell diving computers, I don’t get commission when one a diver buys one but I’m passionate about getting divers into computers.

And here’s why…

There have never been more options to logging your dives. This is yet another great reason to dive a computer…
