  • #1 Write your EAN mix on your tank

    By SKuba Steve

By writing your EAN mix on your tank when you pick it up at the dive shop you can be sure to enter the right value into your computer or use it with your tables in dive planning.

  • #2 Don't Forget Your MOD

    By SKuba Steve

Once you've identified the EAN mix it's a good idea to write down the Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) of the gas for planning purposes. Be sure to check out what ppO2 you're using for gas planning!

  • #3 Write your students names

    By SKuba Steve

Customers and fellow divers appreciate it when you call them by name. It's not always easy but a little duct tape goes a long way to improving the customer experience!

  • #4 Basic Dive Plan

    By SKuba Steve

Write down your planned depth and time.

  • #5 Contingency Plan

    By SKuba Steve

Just in case you break the max depth of your primary dive plan… what's your contingency plan?

  • #6 Label your gear!

    By SKuba Steve

On a crowded dive boat it can be easy to lose track of your gear. Put your name on it! People might look at you sideways at first but you'll get the last laugh when they're asking to borrow your tape.

Duct tape is handy to have in the garage, the laundry room, in your office desk or even your sock drawer but did you know that white duct tape can be a valuable addition to your SCUBA diving kit?

Here are six reasons to throw a roll of duct tape into your kit in a cool new info-graphic (above). (driven by www.quiet.ly if you’re interested)

Tips and ideas for easier SCUBA travel.

Tips and ideas for easier SCUBA travel.

Hi dive Buddies,

So, I did a limited release of a new eBook that I’m working on to get feedback from other divers.

This short eBook is designed to help recreational SCUBA divers get ready for a dive trip. It includes things to look for as you get your gear ready, what to take, considerations about what not to take and why. It also discusses a variety of related travel topics while staying brief.

Well, as it turns out I wasn’t as stealthy as I thought so after several hundred downloads I decided to go ahead and put a public post that links to the page.

It’s so free you don’t even have to give up your email address! It doesn’t get much more free than that these days!

Under Pressurize: Your Dive Travel (updated November 3, 2014 to reflect final product link)

An updated ‘final’ version will be released in the coming months and I would appreciate any and all feedback. After you’ve had a chance to look it over please take a few minutes to fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of the download page.

You can also leave your feedback in the form of a comment below, email me, use the “Send Voicemail” tab at the bottom of the page or call me (seriously) 970-218-2018. Whatever works for you!
