Happy New Year Divebuddies!

I hope everyone is having a great new year so far! I’m getting back into the swing of things here and have some fun and exciting things to share in 2014. Perhaps the most exciting for me is that I have started my classes to become an SSI Open Water Instructor!

It’s a great opportunity to share my passion for SCUBA diving with new and potential divers.

As part of my journey I’ll be writing about the experience and look forward to your thoughts and comments as I make the transition from DiveCon (Assistant Instructor) to the next level in my professional diving career.

At this point it looks like it’s going to be a healthy amount of work and I’m looking forward to improving my diving as well as my teaching skills (we’ll see how I feel in a month or two!).
